Are you wanting to know about "northway" bred and or the breeding styles of northway/branko cross (what most people think of in the northway line) or one of the many outcrosses. I have only had two hounds that carried the northway name and came from Paul and only having two hounds does not give me the knowledge to speak on the entire bloodline. I can tell you a little about the northway branko crosses that most of us associate with the northway hounds.

Call or PM Dexter Reffett , he's the man with the knowledge you're looking
for . Now keep in mind I'm not saying these others guys don't know but I
think most will agree with what Dexter has to say .
ps. have a notebook and ink pin ready .

Have a tape recorder if possible. LOL I had some paper and a pencil when I spoke with him, and I still couldn't keep up. The man has a lot of knowledge. What was more honorable to me was his knowledge of other lines, and he never spoke a negative word about any of them.

I would agree that Dexter is a great wealth of knowledge with the Northway line and a great guy. I have several dogs that are heavy Northway/Reffets bred and love them! They are fast starters, big nosed, extreme hunt hounds with good speed, and bottom end! One of my favorite lines for the total package.

I have several hounds that Dexter has bred here and I will say that I like mine! The northway line outcrossed like he has done turns out good hounds day in and day out. The breeding plan he has is amazing!!
