I buy mine in Mexico MO. Two buddies my uncle and I get 1 ton at a time apiece and its 26 18 we give $12.50 for a 50lb bag and the dogs look awesome on it. Its a 2 hour trip but we split the gas and pick up 4 ton. I think the guy calls it Hunters Pro Blend. I used to feed sports mix but for the same protein and fat I was giving over $20 a bag for it!
Take your kids huntin and you wont have to hunt for your kids.

I use the green bag of sportsmix, 50lb for $22.00, it doesn't keep the weight on very well cause when I'm not at work I run my hound. I'm thinking about going to the Hi-Standard!! If not will try out kent dog food.

Thanks for your input, but I want to try Hi-Standard first... its a lot closer to me than Nutro.

I know that Mark, but thats what I have been feeding for a while now, I know why its called maintence blend. I'm also not going to feed it because its runny stools, I'm going to switch away from sportsmix all together. Used the blue bag at one time too, but they had even worse runny stools. Going to look at Hi-Standard first, then go from there.

I've feed quite a few feeds over the several past years beings the price has fluctuated so drasticlly. I normally buy it a ton at a time and liked "The Pride" chicken and rice formula real well when I was feeding it. After the price went up so drastic I switched to Sportmix 24/20 and like it very well too. I have fed Hi-Standard and it was O.K. but my least favorite and was pricey too. We now feeding Sexton's 24/18 and we like it real well too. I think we get a pretty good bang for our buck when we buy it by the ton. We are going on our second year feeding it to 13 different dogs and they are all in good flesh on it.

I HAVE USED PURINA DOG CHOW FOR 4 YEARS AND IT THE BEST FEED I'VE SEEN YET. DOG LOOK REAT ON IT AND DON'T HAVE TO FEED MUCH AT ALL FOR THEM TO LOOK NICE AND THEIR WAISTE ISN'T RUNNY. I'VE FEED PRIDE, DIAMOND,KENT AND JOY AND IT SEEMS THAT IT DOESN'T DO THE JOB LIKE PURINA DOES.........
