Need to abort puppies

Dog got out of her pen last night and is in heat. Caught her this morning with the neighbor dog so are there anything out there that will cause her to abort the puppies?

Good luck. There is a shot they can give that may work, but most vets will not do it. Be careful who you call. We called one that wanted to call PETA on us. We waited too late. It has to be done in the first couple days I believe.

Yes there is a shot, it is called a Mis-Mate shot and it needs to be done with in 24 hrs. Good Luck!

Becareful with the shot..........the only vet around here that will give the shot is a coon hunter..........it has to be given in 72 hours from breeding. He told me it's a once in a lifetime shot that he wouldn't give it to her again due to how it really messes up their hormones.........restarted her heat cycle back to day 1.

Dog was mentally never the same after the shot and heard others with similar stories on the shot...........will never have another female given the shot.

Bad thing was it was a preventative shot for me as I was unsure if a 6 month old pup had gotten to her and didn't want to take any chances.

I had a beagle that was given that shot and in a day or so died, she was one of my best females. I would not use the shot again.

Well, you can take her to another beagle and have her bred again, you would be able to tell the difference between the pure bred beagles and the mix breed as they grow...

Personally, I wouldn't give the shot but that's just me.

A very well know beagler told me once ivormec 3 days in a row but i do not remember the dosage.

1 cc ivermec and a 7 way shot 3 days in a row, 5 days after the tie was made. Keep plenting of fresh water to hell flush the large dossage. It works.... I unffortunately had to do this before. Things happen.... All has been good in the end.

Interesting remedi's listed. If I tried any of those concoction's with my luck I'd have a huge litter of 3 legged pups and need a c-section .

How many days into the heat cycle was she when she escaped?

There is a shot called the "miss-mate" shot. It will cause the bitch to flush the uterus but also, will cause her to start her heat cycle again and she will go through the heat cycle anew for the next 3 weeks.
