Zip has a very good nose, he can get the rabbit moving in any kind of conditions. He is not the fastest dog but can stay with the top two or three dogs, and will get most of the checks. Zip has good hunt and will work hard under all conditions. Zip is the only dog to ever win both the futurity and the nationals in the same year. Zip has good line control and does not skirt regardless of what is happening in front of him.
