Go to the better beagling board and contact Swamp dog(Steve Church) He was the one that made the cross, He had a little male that was doing well in derby trials haven't heard much out of him in the licensed circuit. Pete Young had one that was bastard size that he sold to someone and he probably knows where he is. It was a big litter from what I recall so there should be some around, don't know whether they are for sale or not, but Steve Church should know whose hands they are in.

I just found out today Turbo accidentily hung himself at Lowell Smith's.He was bred four times the pups seemed to please their owners.Jet the hound Big Dog referred to was the NYHA high derby before he was even 1 year old (4 derby first, and a second)and even placed in licensed trials as a little pup. He was injured in a freak accident and infection got into his hip muscle.Surgery was performed and a drain placed. The strain of bacteria showed resistance to antibiotics. He was set up for an entire season. He finally healed up but has scar tissue that makes him get to limping after ran hard.Frankily he still places but has lost the wicked explosiveness out of a check into the drives. His parents were great hounds with resumes second to known.I let Brandon Hill & Bob Keese add Smokey to their arsenal as she throws mostily big dogs.Brandon said Smokey was one the best gundogs he ever hunted over and would still hunt like a banshee all day long even at 8 years old still had the foot to hang with the young dogs and was killer on checks. She is an awesome cottontail dog for sure was a beast on the LPH circuit. The Sport and Three Jays hounds still are getting their share of ribbons at the trials as well.

Here is Deacon, he hunts hard, stays busy, opens right (won't off bark), pulls a check quick, and can flat role with good control...
He just finished UKC Grand Hunting Beagle Champion so i've decided to retire him from trialing and work my younger hounds.

Re: IFC SPEEDY SPORT x IFC THREE JAYS JACK SMOKEY
No one is a bigger fan of Sport then I. However I beleive in telling it like it is. Steve Church's Jet dog was here for the derby year he is refering to the dog Jet is a very nice 13"male I beleive in the right hands he would have finished IFC. However he did not win 4 trials and take a second he was enterd in 3 trials he took two first one was at Mohawk the second was the next week under the same two judges at Black River. The third trial was a disaster and there was never even one single run, certainly not Jets fault no game. So he was the high NNYHA derby for what ever that is worth. Again he was a very good young male and could do it with the best of my derbies some of which are now finished. What I see and I have seen a lot is that Sport definetly thru a bit of himself in his offspring. I have the last male out of him here he was bred to a Shooter bitch and he is a year old so far like what I see.
I will for ever miss the old man,
good luck to all who have is off spring. Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss him or his offspring would love to chat about him. mmcpherson2@aol.com

Re: IFC SPEEDY SPORT x IFC THREE JAYS JACK SMOKEY
Mike that trial where he took the only second had no game If my memory is correct. Those were his wins the first year . The others were the next year including Sandy Creek still not 2 years old.I agree Jet could have finished but when you live 13 hours away have rattle snakes,90-100 degree heat $3/4 gas things aren't as simple,in additon it takes money.Their are almost half the trials as 8-10 years ago. Most guys I see winning trials have their own running pen at their house or live near the club are retired or able to be home to run them all day. I know what the dog is I need no FC papers to prove anything,Mike you got him where he was that year snakes were out here I didn't want to lay him up as a pup for the summer you ran him for me and was key to getting his best out at the derbies.Sometimes hardships happen health issues, injuries etc.Right now I just took a fifth nerve block to my spine and things are only slightily better. There have been times I had to have people go get my dogs for me and almost crawl back to the truck.
Re: IFC SPEEDY SPORT x IFC THREE JAYS JACK SMOKEY
mike thanx for your compliment and all you have done.I believe Mike is the best at getting hounds ready for the trials and would highily recommend him to any one if you got a really good one.he can evaluate your hound and has a good eye if you wondering is it worth your time.
Re: IFC SPEEDY SPORT x IFC THREE JAYS JACK SMOKEY
STUD FEE: on Jet is free for a limited time in most cases if you hunt and trial in any the following AkC,UKC,ARHA .I would like a current bruccellosis and stud pup possibily.Dog must be AKC registered not open to unproven bloodlines like too see a pedigree of prospective dam.I have not bred him yet but plan too.His sisters have thrown good pups from what I hear.My aim is to produce good hunting dogs who can compete at the trials also.Jet can and will run a cottontail solo to death even those that run wicked circles that double and twist. He is a one man wrecking crew in the bush for the gunner.Seen him hammer a rabbit out of a huge briar bed with no other dog barking for 20 minutes, 8 of them lined up behind him not even barking gasping for air to keep up.The guys were saying" something ain't right" til the rabbit came out bounced off their leg leaving them eatting crow.He then in a split second put about 100 yard lead on my 2 buddies pack of hounds.I often have came close to giving this dog to Mike as i know he could finish him. This dog is also a family pet, and I get teary eyed thinking about it.
Re: IFC SPEEDY SPORT x IFC THREE JAYS JACK SMOKEY
Deacon isn't getting any younger and after a few Pms I'm asking $150 for stud and might consider a pup off the right bitch.
