sprained leg

my beagle sprained its leg and has a limp,the vet said it will be fine and it is not serious , how long do you give him to heal before running again .it has been 5 days now and he still cant walk to much on it.how long does it take to heal

I had one do that once but he could walk on it after about 2 days I did'nt run him for about two weeks and he was fine after that.

Had one Sprain a Front Shoulder one time... Thought he was fine after 2 weeks Went out and ended up putting him up for over 2 mo Went out to early he seemed fine But We were just Inpatient So it took longer to heal the second time around......
Depending on how bad i would say 3 weeks Minimum!!!!

thanks for the info guys ,the vet gave him a shot and some pills hope he gets better ,going back to the vet in 5 days if it isnt any better I have to get xrays
