I've got a pregnant female that's due any day and today I noticed she
had a loose stool. I've been feeding her 2 small meals a day instead of
1 large one. Is this a symptom of her possiblly whelping in the near future
and if not what can I do to help stop the loose stool?
Thanks for all the feedback

I would think as long as she is feeling well and not acting lethargic that its a symptom of being near whelping. You can give her some pepto bismal if you like but, other than that I think I'd wait until she has puppies for anything else. Make sure she has plenty of water and keep her cool if your in a hot area.Margaret Ethridge wrote:I've got a pregnant female that's due any day and today I noticed she

My Eve had some loose stool a day before welping. My first time breeding, so I don't know if this is the norm or not. She has been fine since. No loose stool. So far we still have 7 0f 7 pups. All gaining weight just fine. Even the runt is gaining anywhere from 1/2 to an ounce each day.
