Octagon rabbit trap

Has anyone seen a trap like this? Has anybody used one? Anybody have plans? I was just curious because I have never seen a trap built like this.
I can't see how the trigger mechanism works.

I have built traps that dont look that good but they do the same thing. these traps are very good and rabbits are not as spooky because they dont have to wonder into a strange box.Anyway, the trigger is called a figure 4 and the long main shaft is balanced on a teeter totter the bait sits on the balance point and trips very easy and reliable,(hope this helps)

I have rabbits running all around my house and have been trying to trap some to take to the happy hunting grounds but, I cannot get them to go into the trap. I have used the standard, 'hav-a-hart' live traps with one door. What do you use for bait? I have tried apples, lettuce, bird food, corn, dog food, cat food,...everything. I can't get them in.

Try sweet taters.. works good for me..

Tried them. I am wondering if it is the type of trap I have. Do you think one that opens on both ends is better?

Hi Bucks b-b
Try the pyramid traps with apple juice, pears and peaches they have worked great for me. and are easy and cheap to build.
