Ok, gotta share - 1st Freedom Run litter

Post by Bev »

3 weeks old and having their first meal, lol. It's a video, but I made it small so even dial-uppers can download it. Hope you enjoy. I'm kinda excited about them. Mom is 9 years old and did great, but this is the first litter she has never thrown a red pup. Dad's genes must be more dominant or something, I dunno.

Looks like a bunch of black and white little pups. A little toooooooooooo much white for me though.

I hope all makes true rabbit hounds.

Leah, that's what I said, but I worded it poorly, (some editor, eh?) this was the first time she's never thrown at least one red pup. Usually she throws 50% or more red-redtick, but not a single one this time.

Thanks y'all for sharing my excitement.

 Yes, maam, there's definitely a Ninja-looking bluetick in there. LOL. The female and one other male are going to have some blueticking on them as well.

Plowboy, with all the red dogs in Dolly's pedigree, I'm surprised she's never thrown a lemon/white, but then someone told me lemon/white was actually the same gene as bluetick. I dunno much about that stuff. I certainly wouldn't mind a lemon/white. I'm not color blind in the least when it comes to hounds. I love the variety. I almost flipped out hen I went to my first field trial (Little Pack at Hannah Creek) and saw how many different flavors of beagles were tied out. I just kept walking around and petting each one, lol.

You just named him, ringtail! LOL. Mohawk it is. I've been calling him Skunk and Spook, but I like Mohawk much better, lol. I can call him Moe for short.

Close, lol. They are out of a Goose Creek Sam/Cress Comanche Tracker bitch and a Jack/Trimmer/Haunted Hill/Ninja bred male. I think there's even a little bit of Birch Lake Texas T in the male.

This is a definite outcross, but each parent is moderately line bred.
