Beagle with worms

Post by nehelt »

I have a small female that had pups on Jan. 24th of this year and today when I fed her I could see what looks like a round worm in her crap. She is still feeding 4 pups and I have Happy Jack Liqui-vict 2x and I am wondering if I give her this and give her tape worm tablets in 2-3 days afterward, will this hurt the pups?

Guess no one has an opinion. There are lots of other threads about worming, what to use and when. Good luck. Search internet to see if product is contraindicated when nursing, some drugs are passed in the milk. Carolyn

Give her and the pups Nemex II (or any other pyrantal pamoate based wormer). If you don't know if they have tapes, I wouldn't give any tapeworm meds. You should also follow up with a couple more doses, two weeks apart.
