Prostate Cancer

We had a beagle who had just turned 5 on July 1st and last Tuesday was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He was neutered and we had to put him to sleep on July 21st. Our hearts are broken. Has anyone experienced this in a beagle. He was being treated for a Bladder and Prostate Infection, but then an ultrasound confirmed tumors in the Prostate.
