Fastest dog from open to grand champion
I was looking through past issues of American Beagler last night and found in Oct. 04 a female "Turners Simple Pleasure Molly" out of Michigan that went from open class to grand champion in 3 months. Won 8 hunts in a row at 20 months old in UKC! It says: Todd Morgan of UKC doesn't believe any other dog has finished this quickly and I don't believe I have ever heard of a dog doing this either.
Does anyone know if any other dog has finished this quickly in any of the other formats, would like to know just how fast they have heard of, Name of dog and hunts/months would help.
Yes, I'm one of them that saves three different beagle magazines (AB, BB, RH) and goes through them several times!!!!

Aaron H,
Thank you for the pm. Why don't you let us all know about the facts about this "Simple Pleasure Molly" dog I read about in the American Beagler. I have never seen this dog but I believe I would like to see her run now after that story!!!!!! I think others would like to hear the story you told me. thanks

GRCH Plowboys Jett Half Patch placed 5th in her first hunt at 11 mos old, then won 2 straight opens, won 3 straight Champ class ( 1 being a state hunt) Since she has won 6 straight in the Grands, including a state hunt.
But I don't trial much so time span from open to Grand was about 2 years.
I'm sure it ain't the fastest but I was pretty proud of her.

Db,
ARHA little pack, she has won in TN, Ky & Al. She is not that fast but a good solid jump & check dog. What has helped her is the ability to lock down from a full speed to a walk at the check & then pick the line quickly back to full speed ,while the competition is sailing all around 50 yds past the loss trying to head hunt. She is just a pretty good ole solid rabbit dog.

Plowboy,
I love to see a good dog that can win from behind, just cutting the noses off the sprinters and yesss dogs in the check area. I also run arha lp in oklahoma and tried pp earlier in the year and enjoyed that also. I believe I have two dogs that can run in each. Your female champ sounds great, would love to see her run sometime!
Turner and hunter 101,
Thanks for the information on molly, I'm sold on her from several different opinions and private messages, I'm so sold I called Tony and brought a 10 month old male off of him out of molly x lake ogemaw red chief, we'll see if the blood carrys on in the next generation. Some of molly's blood is coming to oklahoma!
To anyone else,
Would love to hear about your champs and how they did it. thanks

My 5 year old male became a champ in 4 hunts, 1rst- 2nd-2nd 1rst, four different clubs but it took over a year as I only attend 4 or 5 hunts a year, he won in lp but I'm sure he could do well in pp, he runs the rabbit from the front or back of a pack and he will run right thru many short checks created in front of him. I have a son out of him that has been in 2 hunts, his first hunt he took tenth, his second he won, he was 19 months at the time, will try to finish him out sometime this fall. Hare

I won't brag on my own as I don't have any champions, YET. However I will praise the hounds of a couple friends of mine. One of my friend's 15" male didn't start trialing until he was around 5 1/2 years old. This impressive hound finished in 6 trials at the age of 6 years old. Three firsts and three seconds. Pretty impressive to me. Furthermore another friend of ours finished a 15" bitch this spring out of this aformentioned male before she turn two. With the way she's going, she stands a chance to win or at least be near the top in Better Beagling's Outstanding Pack Hound Award.
