hunting in the snow

Post by froonay »

i have a 6 year old bitch that runs a real good rabbit on bear ground but when you put her on snow she seams to have a problem keeping the rabbit moving especialy in deep snow does this seam to be common amongst all houndsand do you have any sugestions to make her better or is this just the way she is going to be.
thank you Fred Longwell

Some dogs just don't have the nose to run on snow, but with dogs I've had in the past they seem to get better the more you put them in it.
DRY CREEK KENNELS
Dogs bred to get it done where it counts "under the gun".
AKC and UKC pups and started dogs available at times
