I have one. I really hate to bad mouth it but I have had it two years now and i have sent it back twice. I just recently sent it back for lack of range. for a 3/4 mile range i was maybe getting 75 yards out of it. But both times I called the customer service was excellent and they replaced it both times at no charge to me. I guess you would have to weigh the benefits. I haven't ever owned another collar to compare it to, so as for that I can't give any info. I will say collars work about like two way radios if they say 3/4 mile range that is without any interference. so if you want something with reach you may want something with longer range. Hopefully some of these other guys will tell what they use. I know a lot of guys use e- collars.

I've got over $2000 in Innotech stuff and hate it. It has never worked when it needed to. I just bought the Dogtra 4 dog unit and love it. It works. I don't like the remote size, shape or carrying holster on the Tritronics. That's my only knock on them. I found the Dogtra 4 dog unit for $560 by seaching the web.

HatterasBob that is one reason I went to the dogtra 1804 nc is the small remote with the built in strap to carry it around your neck . and the power it does have compared to some of the tri-tronics models !

a lot of people in my area has had problems with the tri-tronics stuff.

Mike,
I needed an e-collar last week and the Dogtra worked. A first for me. I left them outside in my dog box for over 2 months and they worked perfectly. Anyone want to buy some Innotech collars? I'm a level 1 dealer for Innotech and now they make me pay list price. I'm better off buying Innotech from Foster & Smith. They have a satisfaction guarrentee;-)
