I fully agree.
Some "even tempered" pups don't care it they are by themselves or with a pack of 6.
Other more competitive pups will start bad habits the first time you put pressure on them. After days of running with dogs faster than they are they will start to cheat all the time (skirt, slash, running the outside trying to pass).
I have had both. I prefer one that is there day in and day out. Pressure doesn't bother them a bit.

I will go out with him, don't know what direction yet for sure, but I have a pretty good idea. I had never run with many Spur dogs til around 6 years ago and just now am able to keep what I want, and Tom suits me better than any Spur dog Ive had on the place. Rufus get Eddie-O to drive you up one weekend and we'll go huntin', I'd like to run Charley and Tom together.
