Rabbit hunters

I'm a rabbit hunter. The day before opening day is just like christmas eve. Can't sleep that night and can't wait to go.

Pleasure runner and gun hunter primarily; although, I have trialed in years past. Trialing is a nice way to make friends and running partners. Many good guys trial but a few take it a bit too seriously. I keep trying to talk myself into trailing again but am having too much fun pleasure running with friends and training young dogs. For me, starting a hound is the best. I hunted yesterday morning in Glenford, Ohio with a couple college boys trying to start their hounds. We harvested two and ran four.

Can not wait to gun but will run and trial after gun season is over. I do not have to limit out but it sure is nice sometimes. I do not shoot everything that runs in front of me. I like to hear the dogs run and and let the other hunters with me get a chance.

I'm a pleasure hunter. I only kill rabbits when i want to eat them. two rabbits will feed my family, and we eat rabbits once or twice a month.People often tag along and do the shooting and thats fine with me. I do hit a couple of trials a year to see how my dogs compare to the "good beagles" at the trials.

Hunter first and foremost. Would prefer to hog and dog as one good days effort would fill the freezer. Like the hound music though, and the little dog chase.
