Mine get them whenever they catch one in the warm months.

Fish tapes from Thomas laboratory will take care of it 34 mg pill is good for a beagle. If you have a reall small beagle
May want to go less.

Fish tapes also. 34mg for each 10lb of dog. Found mine on e bay. $30 for 30 pills, that's pretty cheap. If you buy the fish tapes forte they are 170mg , so they would be for a larger dog around 50lbs.
