Another point to look at is the "quality" of bitches bred.
My old Rambo dog was bred 20 times.
Sadly, of the 20 breedings very few were what I'd consider top quality.
A quality hound should at least hunt, jump, and circle her own rabbit with a good nose and mouth.
Guys would show up wanting to improve all of the above qualities!
A stud's influence can only go so far.
However, the females that were "quality" produced excellently!

So the moral to the story: Breed quality to get quality.
Whether you line breed, outcross, or inbreed make sure they can get it done!

I would also be interested in knowing out of the champions produced how many was owned by the stud owner or someone who was running the dog for the owner

Would also be interesting to see how many of the crosses made were linebred and how many were outcrosses. Just something else to think about.

Eddy, that was just an example...just picked a number as he is probably a top producer as far as numbers go.

You would get real deal numbers with total pups. It would be very interesting!

hlane I was viewing a thread just brought up by Chapko on there it stated Reggie had 6 Fc.s on another thread it had Reggie with upwards of 200 litters ,wow!(I dont know if that is accurate could be higher they said) Shaker is at the top with 50 litters and 30 FC.S.I havent heard about Round Pond Mr. T .

You guys are right Reggie hasn't produced anything keep you females away from him!!!
No reason people bred to him must be just because he was the only Bluetick around!!! Let's add up all the Little Pack Champs he has, UKC champs he has, PKC champs he has, AKC champs, and any other format he could have a champ in and I bet he smashs all these dogs listed but who cares right you Reggie haters just gonna keep trying to run his name into the ground but its ok because without haters Reggie's name gets brought up over and over again!!! Breed to the Best and let the word of mouth stud dogs stay unbred!!!!
