I have had 3 pair Filson's, 2 pair of Mule and 1 pair of Dan's. I loved the filson but you have to keep the maintence up no them with the wax. They are a bit heavy. Mules have been okay. Like the summer ones with the vents in the back on the hot days running and trialing. The new Dans Five Stars are the AWESOME. For half the price of the Filson and light weight and waterproof. And They are if not tougher than the Filson's. I have gone anywhere in my Dans this year and not a scratch on my legs. Long story short buy a pair of Five Stars from Dans.

Don't usually wear chaps but I get tired of coming in with wet cuffs from the snow. I tried chaps yesterday and today and for the first time I came in with dry cuffs. I have a pair of Filson's. Scratches don't bother me as much as being wet. I have a little trouble keeping my pants up--too much gut and not enough butt!

Do you still have your old Filson ?

I have had filson single tin for five yrs. I like them quite a bit. I was not aware of the lifetime guarantee. It's not mentioned on their site. Is it something you've done with success?

YES, ANYTHING FILSON!!
I have sent a pair of chaps, getting ready to send another pair out.
You can call FILSON & ask they will give you a return #.
YOU WILL HAVE A NEW PAIR!!!!!
