i have a 13" female off of Brankos Jackpot that is a rabbit jumping machine. She hunts hard and smart. I like to compare her to a good rebounder in basketball........ it's all about knowing where the ball(rabbit) is going to be before anybody else does and then outwork them to get there. When i first got her, about 3 years ago, she was only average. I think time in the field along with above average intelligence has made her what she is now. If you are looking for a good jumpdog then buy one that is proven, otherwise it's just a craps shoot. By the way.....mine is not for sale (LOL)!

There are several varying lines of hounds that are known for good hunt, if that is the answer you are looking for. There are lines from medium speed and fast speed hounds that hunt very hard. The best, as an overall bloodline, as a whole, that I personally have experienced, at being natural hard, hard hunters are PATCH and Northway bred hounds.
