Cottontail v/s Hare

i heard that a cotton tail is bettter eating than a hare. i have only had hare so can't judge. anybody do both?

I fried up a couple hare a few years ago. Tasted like rabbit to me. Funny thing is I have never hunted them. Years ago on a bird hunting trip in Price county they were everywhere so killed a couple to try.

Jim,
I hunt and eat both.
In my opinion, cottontails taste better, especially in late winter/spring.

I'll bring some cottontails out of the freezer up next time for you to try.
