Thanks.
Yep the house on top is really working well for me. They go up and down the ramp all the time. They sleep up there all night long then I see the dogs in the morning laying in the pen.
Just make sure you make a strong ramp. Also chew proof it because they will chew on it. Matter of fact chew proof anything you think the dogs will chew on. Use 1/4x1/4 alum angle. You can pick that up cheap at your local home depot or home center. They come in either 6ft or 8ft lengths. Cut to length you want drill a couple holes in it. Then attach with some short screws.
On the ramp make sure you put traction strips. The dogs really need that to go up and down.
Post some pics I'd like to see your kennel.

Looks good but i never could get that 2x3 fencing to hold up very long i guess the weather and the dogs takes its toll i usually had holes in it within a few months and out goes the hound.

TBrabbitman.....whoa that thing is very nice. I must say that their is a very good idea. I like how you attached everything using bolts. That's a good idea. Most of those kennels like that are welded like the kind from senecca. But bolting it together works just as good.
I might have to steal your idea for my next kennel.
I want to see pics when your done with it.
What are you going to use as a roof and dog house?
