Please add the site that tells about how Gill felt that theAKC was blackmailing the owner of he boldstroke dogs ,this sounds interesting

Don go to the tool bar right under the picture on this page and hit search and type in Gil Davis or Boldstroke and it should come up with the story. Its long and if that don`t work let me know and I will give you Gils Number and e-mail address and you can ask him yourself. I`m not getting in it just stating the facts why Gil reg. with UKC now.Paul

Beagle101......I was mistaken earlier. I thought you got your pups from Gil. Your best bet as Gil told me was to call him if I ever needed to know if a pup or dog was full Boldstroke or not.

i have a boldstroke female pup that is two and a half months old so far she is doing more then most of my other dogs i have trained did when they were 5 to 6 months and i am not even try to work with her all natural ability and brains she is to young to start but her nose just keeps pulling her to the woods she awsome so far and my sons are obidence training her she comes and stays almost all the time but they work with her hard every day i bought this pup for them in my mind this is why i spent hours and hours researching and making phone calls i wish i could find a broke boldstroke but have you seen any forsale i havent i think everyone that has one is as happy as i am with mine and there not for sale everyone good luck with your boldstrokes best regards bull boy

Buckhunter,Where in michigan are you from? I am from Battle Creek area. I have Boldstroke hound. He just turned one. He is out of Boldstrokes Rebel and Boldstrokes slap down Tuffy. His second time out at 5mo. he opened and ran a rabbit for about 300yds. At 7mo. he caught a Rabbit. He is a pretty awesome little hound. I believe PWILL has 2 of Boldstroke Rileys(my hounds name) littermates. How are the pups doing Paul.

I am by no means an accomplished Beagler, however, I have two Boldstroke bred dogs and they have hunt to spare. I took them down to Southeastern KY last week and could hardly reign them in. I sat on my pappaw's (thats "grandfather" for all you city boys) porch and watched one of them run for five straight hours, come in to eat and drink, then I went back out with him and he started off again. By the time he was done (8 P.M. KY time), I almost had to carry him back to the kennel.

I can't tell you much about checks, cold trailing, or how mouthy he was or wasn't, but I can tell you this; he was pushing rabbits all day long.

Hey, Tom, thanks for the great dogs.

BTW, both my dogs have Musket in their bloodlines.

Mike.....I live just north of Lansing. I have a coupe of older dogs and a few young ones coming up this year. I have to sell a couple of the older ones to make room for the upcoming dogs I have in my kennel. If this Boldstroke turns out as nice as they sound like they do I may get a male so I can breed it with my female down the road. My daughter named my pup "Boldstrokes Rise & Shine". Pretty good coming from a 5 year old. lol We'll have to get together and run sometime.

Sounds good to me. I love to run my hounds. If you like what you see in my male. Maybe we could work something out as far as breeding goes. As per Gills wishes, I promised Iwould keep the line pure and only breed to a Boldstroke hound. Iwould really like to see another Boldstroke hound run. My e-mail is selbyk@prodigy.net

Mike , my dogs I have are doing great. They are some of the best I`ve ever had. I liked them so much I went back and got 4 more dogs from Gil this year. One weas a pup and the other three were over a yr old and doing great. I lost one of these dogs she had some complications with having some pups. I have 6 now and wouldn`t trade them for anything. How are is your pup doing? Thanks Paul

don my pup is out of adog called crissy out of musket and a son of rowdy called buster the breeder is a man named phil dixon in ohio his kennel is called greystone had a ad in june american beagler to the gentlemen in michigan with to rebel son id like to get intouch with you about your male so far this pup is more then i ever expected would like to find someone with a rebel male somewhat close to me i live in wis if i knew she was going to be like this i would have bought 1 or 2 more and sold my good branko bitch i think she needs a shot boldstroke i know gil doesent like to breed like this and i totally understand line breeding as we were line breeding pointers 30 years ago but she is a good dog and has to many good traits but lacks maybe one that a good boldstroke would give her do your research the more the better if your looking for breeders i know of a few but none of them have any broke dogs forsale but a few may have some pups or if reg isent a concern give gil a call as good as this one is i could carelessif she was a a grade dog but that my opinion
