By the way, I have judged a lot and have had only one protest. A judgement call. All though I got threatend by Frank Faulk for not scoring his dog. That is when it started. I stood up to him in front of everybody at the club, like a man. Every since he has not scored my dog jack. So know the whole story before you listen to Jeff or who ever. He has a gurg against me I still score his dogs fair. So reply on that. :)

Here is my last reply on this subject. I was wrong in calling them cheaters. They might not be that way all the time. What I should have said is Both men have cheated ME several times. It does sound bad now that I think about it calling them cheaters. Whats done is done. I used the wrong words. I just wish People would be fair. If I loose fair, I'm fine with it. As you can see I'm pretty upset. When your mad you say things that are not percieved like you want them to be. To Jeff ,Frank, and Tony this is what I should have said. JEREMY :)

Jeremy, Even if every single word that you are saying is gospel truth, and I'm not saying that it's not, you are going about this in the wrong way. I don't know you or any of those that you are accusing. This message board is paid for by individuals that allow us the privilege of using it. You said previously that you stood up to one of those whom you accuse. That is the proper way to take care of any situation such as this. This board should be used for constructive purposes instead of tearing down. Those who read this who are not trialers or even beaglers get the opinion that we are nothing but a bunch that can't get along with one another, and you and I know that is far from the truth. The camaraderie among beaglers is as good as it gets. The fact that we can be quite competititve with one another should never overshadow that. I really wish that your experience with some of these trials and fellow beaglers had been more positive. I ask you to search your own heart and see if some of this may be of your doing. I never condone buddy or "get back" judging, but this board will not cure it. Only one-on-one or club meeting discussions will do that. I hope that you don't take offense at anything that I have said here, as I have said it in the spirit of hoping to help make things more positive and better for all. Take care, and keep running and enjoying your hounds.

The first ARHA trial my wife and I attended was a blast for us. Our pup was only 5 months old but we got invited out on the casts anyway to watch the action. Now the end of may in Ga is HOT as all get up and later in the day one of the judges decides he wants too have some fun with the guys on the cast. After the hrs over He's looking all through his pockets for the score sheet and says darn we've got to run the cast over I lost the sheet. Man everybody is freaking out with sweat pouring off them and one guy says make something up its HOT,,, We'll sign it!!!! Thats when I just knew these were my kind of guys and gals,, my pups ain't ready yet but We can't waite till they are!!!

Crew Chief

PS I do agree this is not the format for these problems of cheating too air out on though!!!

Joe, I should have not handled this, this way. Be mad and I can't blame you. I have judged you twice. Tell me was I fair. Because Dale thought I was on one. I have no problem with your Dad as a person but I couldn't take my dog trying his hardest to come up short because of a grug. I'm sorry I handled this in this way. Who would listen to a nobody. I got my point across though, but i did use the wrong wording at times. JEREMY

I personally do not field trial beagles I pleasure hunt with them. I do though hunt coonhunds in the night hunts. Do field trials not have something like what night hunts do. Where you can right on the scorecard your problem then after the trial is over go to the master of hounds. If it is still not resolved and you are in the right you can make a complaint with the registry. I judge and guide alot of competition coonhound events I am ussually a hunting judge also but my dog gets beat sometimes. I wouldn't want someone doing me in a way that is wrong and cheat. I want the best dog to win if it is mine I am happy as can be if it is not then oh well the other hound was better than mine on that particular night. I'll get em next time. I know there is one we go back in forth he wins then I will and so on. Honesty is the way to go in these types of events. If there is no honesty and the new commers see that then they will get deterd and there goes the future of our sport. It is fun keep it that way There is always next time Plus I mainly comp hunt because I like meeting new people that are into the same thing as me. I know I have made alot of friends in both beagling and coonhunting that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Keep it fun guys its only a game

Im not gonna sit on the computer and say what I think is and isnt fair Jeremy. But i will tell you that i am not mad that you are voicing your opinion, I just dont think i would do it on the internet. Me and dad havent discussed it but I am pretty sure that he didnt purposefully (CHEAT) you because there is nothing he likes more than seeing a dog go into the field and do great so he can recognize it. I also dont think that I would set on the computer and talk about the judges of a club in which I am a member and visit often.

I agree. What I should not have done is use names. The Home cooking needs to stop. No matter who it is or what club it is. I have trialed those two clubs the most and For the most part I love Greensburg. The people are great and the judging I think is usually fair. It gets worse as you make it past each round. I just really should not have said the word cheater. It was the wrong word. I will give him this. As far as judging goes, he is the most active judge I have seen. I told how I felt about two judges I had problems with and the buddy system that is going on. Man all I'm saying is the dog should win and not the name. If you exploite a problem a person is having or a club, it puts the pressure on them. It is not all his fault, it is also the rule books fault. It needs to be cut and dry. That is where the cheating can come in. That is also where you can use Home Cooking. Anybody can! I was using a personal example and I see know it was pretty stupid. Me living so far away and working seven days a week, gives me no chance of making it to a club meeting. This is the only way i saw to do it. JEREMY
