Bev-- Surely this is outside the rules and boundries??? Isn't it??? Good post turned SAD!!!!!
Yes it is sad, Donk. This is the first time I've read thru the thread. I see you and I remember things, and people, and dogs at Trenton pretty much the same.
I've given my opinions on Paul's dogs in a different thread. I tried to state the positive things about them, and also say that the big nose/early mouth was in the bloodline. I've only run at Trenton when conditions were basically hot and dry (early fall) so I can't tell you how they perform in optimal conditions or dead-of-winter conditions. We've beaten Paul's hounds fair and square, and have been beaten a time or two by Paul's hounds fair and square. **to correct someone earlier who said Rocket had never been beaten on the bench, my red dog has beaten him every time they were put head to head. Sorry, couldn't pass that up, lol**
Of the 19 or so times I've given descriptions of Paul's hounds, I've tried never to bring Paul himself into the discussion. There's a good reason for that. I have witnessed first-hand actions from Paul that should have gotten him banned about 4 times more than he has been. I should have reported him for the time (I think was Lamborghini) was fidgeting a little on the bench and because he wouldn't hold perfectly still, Paul picked the dog up by the scruff and back skin and flung him across the clubhouse....IN FRONT OF EVERYONE THERE. He got to the dog and drop-kicked him back across the clubhouse the other direction. I was stacking a dog next to him when that happened, and I was so got, I couldn't even speak. I got up into his shirt outside later about abusing his dog, and told him if he came back from a cast and the dog was gone from the tie-out, he knew where to look first.
So for all of you who think Paul's temper and fiesty personality is CUTE, I have to disagree. To my knowledge, Paul's never had a kind word to say about anyone. This is nothing I haven't said to Paul personally, and we have discussed it at length (hours - multiple times) on the phone after the event. Computer or not, Paul already knows how I feel, and my feelings about him haven't changed. He has decent enough dogs to hunt with, and they don't deserve some of the criticism they get at times, but it cracks me up to see people defend him who have never met the man or had to deal with him for any length of time. You don't know the half of it, and to carry that man's filthy words onto this board and then defend them is stooping to an all-time low. To "root" for this kinda behavior is even worse. I thought Swing gave y'all a board for that kinda stuff.

I forget what topic this thread is about. Oh yeah, Jasper. Is everyone finished, and gotten what they want said out of their systems? The topic goes back to Jasper now. If everyone is finishing talking about Jasper, then I will lock the thread and we can go on to something else.
