Brucellosis

Re: Brucellosis
Why don't they name the kennels/individuals who have the disease? It seems like the prudent thing to do.
Re: Brucellosis
I don't know... Maybe the human health service would have that info, since it may also involve the transmitting of the disease to humans.
I only post it to remind folks it has shown up again and the shippers to be mindful of the risk involved transporting hounds.
Another rainy day, but I got the mowing & the gutters cleaned yesterday.

Re: Brucellosis
I just got done sending 10 pups off to new owners.Four of those pups were picked up by dog haulers
Maybe I worry too much but I couldn't help but worry about those 8-9 week old pups being put in crates wondering what dog or dogs had been in them a day or even hours before and transported in a van with half a dozen or more dogs in it coming from kennels in multiple states.
My only assurance was that I'd gotten two shots in the ones I sent and hoped that was protecting them from the common stuff.
Sad reality is that nothing protects them from brucellosis.
Be careful,be cautious and caveat emptor---- let the buyer beware.
