rabbit gun

Post by D.Gross »

Have been shooting a Win. model 12, 20 ga. mod. choke since 1956. My father bought it for me on Christmas 1956. He paid $90.00. It shoots like a new one and I use high brass 71/2 or 6's. Have piled them up over the years until the last few years when rabbits in NW Indiana have become scarce compared to the "old" days.

22/410 give those bunnies all the chance in the world to out run your dogs and gun.

Good luck in the future.

I shoot a side by side in 28 gauge and 16 gauge. Use 6 shot in both. Good on rabbits and other small game.

I don't like to watch bunnies run away that I should have killed. Soooooo,
I use a Fausti O/U 12 gauge. I've got an open choke on top to spread out
the pattern for up close and personal bunnies, and I use a tighter choke under for those bunnies that are trying to get away. I only missed two this year.
