Possible Distemper?

Post by Black Swamp »

Need help, had to put down two of my eight week old on Saturday. Pups all heathly but this is what te pups were doing.
1. Pup starts shaking body
2. pup starts to go into ceisure
3. pup seems to be blind and timid
4. pup poops, not being able to controll this fuction
I wish i could have video this had never seen this before. Could not watch pups suffering. I put them down as quickly as I could. Other pup is fine the other I gave a away as a pet because of near sightedness. I raise beagles and I wonder if its might be a bad gene the male is thowning?
Thanks
Cedric

Take a sample of the poop to the vet for a fecal. If it is distemper they rarely get completely over it.
Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Sally's right. The vet can tell you for sure, that way you are not guessing.

I have also heard that a bad cause of the worms can cause this behavier. I don't know this to be true, just hear say.

Sorry for your loss,
