lately our dog wont stop licking

our dog started having seizures about two months ago, he is two years old and for the last few days he wont stop licking everything he comes in contact with. he licks his paws, the couch or anything, does anyone have any idea what might be going on. thanks for your help, joni

Is he on medication for the seizures? Some of them can have some weird psychologic side effects. I have also observed and heard from clients where seizure disorder dogs develop odd OCD behaviors. Perhaps it is just that in this case. I would recommend distracting him with an appropriate toy when he does these things, and scolding him if needed.
