That's one of the best parts about having a family. My boys like to go with me too and I take them as much as I can. Times like last night I couldn't let them come, 5 pups with some possible deer checking, and they let me know but tonight I'll take them out again. At our house my dog running is nice for the wife because then she gets the house while we're out.

I have been pretty lucky. My wife has helped with whelping and will feed if I am out of town. She was a farm girl and worked for a local vet as a teenager. She will occasionally go run with me, but she is a bad influence on me and has to take a packed cooler when she does. :) . I took her one day about a month ago with just young dogs that decided not to hunt for a while, she told them that they were boring and needed to get busy. She had been spoiled by the older dogs getting at it pretty quick. The young ones finally got busy and we kicked back on the dog box and had some refreshments. When I go alone or with a buddy we usually carry a bottle of water and walk the whole time we are out.

If I were you Anthony, I'd leave the buddies at home and take the other half more often! Sounds like more fun to me.

Come on hounddog.... That hurts my feelings. Just kidding, I've told Anthony that several times myself.

My wife grew up feeding her dads dogs all the time. She will not feed mine unless I'm out of town or really sick. But thats OK by me because she says very little about my hunting or running dogs. She has been with me a few times, and seems to enjoy it if the dogs jump early. Otherwise it likes Anthony's wife, she gets very bored.
