Re: Haunted Hill Shaker
My Good Friend Fred Liddle Bred FC Doylands Jimmy, He offered The whole Litter to Me but I took a big Bitch. The rest went To Dick Doyle, went 15" Dick parted with them. The bitch I had I named Wabbaso's Pepper (hoping Fred would get back into beagles). I also bred to Shaker 2X both to My Wabbaso's Zoe bitch,I kept the whole 1st litter and started them all, they all seem to be good hounds the only differents was they all had nose but mouth was different some just alittle tight some open alittle to quick, the 2 a kept where good alound hounds. I crossed My Hunts Creek Ben to both Pepper and a Zoe Bitch, I did double up on the Shaker and felt I lost some Hunt. Also Pepper as a young hound could not handle the snow at all, I won a LPH and SPO trial and when the snow came she faded. At 2 1/2 she did get better, an above average bitch. The doubled cross seemed to act much different than what I'am use to, Most of the stuff I have are hunting before they even know what a rabbit is. The double cross hung around my shoes too much. Shaker was a good natured hound and he was full 15", and his Owner was a nice guy, and had nothing to hide with Shaker. I went to Shaker for size and endurance,I'd say he produced his like. Hope this helped

You hit the neal on the head. She is around 13.5 inch tall, tri-color, good hunt and nose, medium speed and will fight a buzz saw. She has no bottom to her.

Re: Haunted Hill Shaker
I have heard not to double up on Shaker because of conformation issues (crooked legs, bad bites, etc. I owned BJ's Fudd ( Shaker X Tamarack) for a while; nice hound, good all around dog, but not the best I've had by far. I bred him to my Prime Time bitch twice and got the best young dogs I've ever had. I kept a bitch out of both litters and they are both bigger and better than thier parents; 14 1/2" - 15", fast with control and brains like I've never seen in young hounds. Whether this was just luck or a cross that might work with Shaker stuff, I don't know. I bred her to Showtime this year; we'll see how these pups compare to the Fudd pups. Good luck with what you choose; I hope it works out well.
