need your ideals on how to keep hurt foot pad covered

Post by mud »

I have a female with a badly cut front foot pad.I have pink ointment which has worked well in the past.My problem is keeping the pad covered.Everything I have tried she gets it off before morning.I have tried tape wrapping etc.If I can keep the pink ointment on the pad for a few days it will start to heal.Any thoughts

If it were me, and she wouldn't keep a wrap on it at all, and I only needed a few days for her foot to recoup, I would crate her to keep her quiet and still *** and short potty walks only ***....the ointment should work without a wrap, and pad cuts seem to heal pretty fast ...just an idea ;)

We have gasket material, I've fashioned one of those funnel contraptions and zip-locked it to their collar. Usually coat the cut with ointment and a stitch or 2 will have it... Keep hound low as foot heals... ;)
