I had this to happen to a female that was 4 years old once and the vet said she had a ruptured disc in her back that was putting pressure on her spinal cord.

I'm sorry to say, but I couldn't afford the surgery and had to have her put to sleep.

I had a 6 year old dog with the same problem. The vet. said he had a tick on his back spinal cord. The tick was removed; the dog was dip and was given a antibiotic shot. The vet said he should be on his feet by the next day. The next the dog was running around like nothing ever happen.

Bushwacker,

How did the vet find out it was a tick, could you see it?
