Albon Treatment

Post by FrancoMo1678 »

Can you treat the water for a jip with albon while she is nursing for coccidiosis? will she pass it to the puppies and give them early prevention? will it hurt them ?

Try the manufacturer's web page. You should be able to read the MSDS (material safety data sheet). If that does not help, there should be a FAC section or a contact us section.

Do you suspect she has cocidiosis? If it is just as a preventative, I would skip it until she stops nursing. If you are just seeing a loose stools, that is likely due to her consumption of the pups' waste - she licks it all up to keep the nursery clean and dry and deposits it as far away from the pups as she can. Check the stools for roundworms! If the pups are two weeks you need to be worming them all with something like Nemex. Good luck!
