hounds tail
My female freaks out when you touch her tail, trying to lift it up is out of the question. She keep the tail tuck between her legs and acts ok other than this.will hunt ok and eats well, but you toch her tail and she will try and bit me or will lay on her back.
Well took her to the vet and he needs to do an x-ray on her, something is wrong. like a broken bone in the tail he thinks hopefully nothing wrong in the back? she is so young , I have never had this happen before to one of my hounds and I still dont know how this happen.thanks show dog and huntin 54 for the replies
I am about 90% sure that an xray will show nothing wrong and then the vet will want to do surgery. Go to a good animal chiropractor and save yourself a lot of money and your dog a lot of pain. The problem may be in the body of the dog or in its tail. A chiro should be able to tell and do the fine adjustment needed. Carolyn
