Guys it is time for another baby stakes hunt that will be put on by CGS KENNEL at Todd Byrd's running pen. The hunt that we had last fall went very well and had several pups out of some big named dogs. This spring we hope to have a bigger turn out than we had in the fall. The rules will still be based off of LP with the one difference being only strike and check points awarded only due to having some many rabbits to run. I think if you talk with anyone that was there last fall there were plenty of rabbits. The males will still be running against other males and so on for the females. If you want a chance to see how your pups stack up against other pups it is a good way to see what you have. It will be a fun filled day of running young dogs and spectators are welcome to come check out the event. I have already secured a judge for the males which will be Dallas Russell whom done a great job last fall judging this event. I am still looking for a judge to judge the females and ask that if you want to judge to not have a female entered in the event but you may run males. For the business part we will have food being served on site until the hunt is completed. The deadline will be 6am central time. Scoring will be 10 strike points and 25 check points with all the LP minus rules in place for the hunt. THE AGE LIMIT WILL BE IF YOU HAVE A PUP BORN 11-20-10 ON IT WILL BE ABLE TO RUN ALL PUPS BORN BEFORE 11-20-10 WILL NOT RUN.

ENTRY FEE IS 20 DOLLARS PER DOG
The break down will be the same as the last one in that 60% goes to the winner 10% stud owner and 10% dame owner present or not so please try to have that information prior to the hunt. 10% to the judge and 10% for the use of the pen for the hunt. This will be the same for both classes.

Sounds fun, but mine were born 4 days to early, lol

Hey, Todd i have been getting several calls saying thier dogs has missed the deadline on the birthdates for the puppy hunt. We are thinking about backing the date up by a couple of weeks but not going to go much more than that if it will increase the number of entries for the hunt you guys let me know what youth think.

Shawn, if you bump it back a couple weeks I know me and c gray will have 2 or 3 to throw down. Let me know what you all decide.

After several calls we have changed the birthdate to 11/20/10 on or after to be able to run see ya at the trials this sould have boosted the numbers big enough to make a difference in the winnings. Last year the male winner took home 150 and the females took home 100. Looking to have more this time.

Guys it is getting close to the baby stakes the deadline for the hunt is 6am central time. What are the pups coming out of? I know there will be pups out of Johnboy and HOF BUmper to Bumper whats everybody else going to be running?

Wish I had something ready! The pup I had that would of done good I sold! Hope you boys have a good time may just show up just to watch some dogs run...
