Lebanon Co. B.C.-AKC Gundog Brace-5/28 & 5/29-decent turnout

We had a good turnout despite gas prices around $3.75/gal. and the heat & humidity.
For 2 days we had a total of 125 dogs. One judge traveled from ontario(10 hrs.)
On sat. the grass was wet and the dogs ran great. Had a 10 min. downpour in the afternoon ,and after that the dogs really moved the rabbits. Temps in the 80's. On sunday the humidity was worse and the grass was drier ;hence not a lot of good runs. Rabbits were pretty good. They would come in spurts and saw a bunch of little ones. 3 guys came from virginia and 2 of their dogs finished in the top 5. The NEBGF Championship trial is next fri, sat, and sun. ; supposed to be cooler .
We had 5 guys sleeping in our new bunkbeds;much better than those old couches and beds from the 70's
They were horribly to say the least.I burned them all last summer
