A lot is said about who beat who, the running, and what dogs/kennels were successful, but friendship is what makes the World Hunt so special. Thanks to everyone for the great time, the laughs, the jabs, the lies, the slurs, the jokes, the stories, the bragging, the b*tching, listening to me b*tch, the smiles, the kindness, sportsmanship, and the handshakes from friends not seen for way too long. In a year when I wasn't even sure I wanted to go, the friendship made it great. Hopefully we can all make it back next year.
Thanks to all for a great World Hunt.

Re: The Best Part of the World Hunt
I would like to thank the Erie Canal guys especially Jon Ulrich for all the time and trouble they have gone through for the last couple of months to put this together. Few people know the amount of time and preparation that goes into getting this hunt together. Most people come on here after the fact and complain about the running or the fact that these guys get the hunt every year but few ever thank them for the amount of work that they do to make sure everything goes smooth. They are also responsible for putting on the banquet which in itself is quite a task, and I can testify that there wasnt anything wrong with the food they put out for that. As a matter of fact the food for the entire weekend was as good as you will find at any hunt. On top of all this they managed to get through a nearly seven hundred dog hunt in three days. So I say hats off to those guys.

Gabe you are right the guys behind it all very seldom get the credit they deserve but the people that have hosted big hunts or put together fund raisers know the amount of time and work involved. I also say hats off they were on top of it all weekend and the banquet meal which by the way was free did not taste like should have been free. Great job guys.

Re: The Best Part of the World Hunt
It was my first year there and it exceeded my expectations. Great people there and I am sure I missed talking to some there that I didn't see. I got to see Hounddog, Chris Shoopman Chad Blair and Matt Marple. Hopefully I will be able to attend next year and see these fellas again and many more. Fellowship was good and the food was outstanding....
