All age quilifer?
Who and what can run in a all age quilifer? Do you have to enter a quilifer before you enter a sec. trail?
If you are talking about an AKC-SPO All-Age qualifier, any running dog, derby or otherwise can participate in it's perspective class (size & gender). The hound must be AKC registered, no taller than 15" at the withers, and not spayed or neutered. Qualifiers are not "licensed" events with points toward the FC title. They are generally a Federation/Association sponsored event that is "sanctioned" by AKC.
These trials help the clubs raise operating money, give the hounds some experience competing, are a great way to meet up with beaglers and see if you like the format, and if your hound places in one, it can qualify him/her for the Federation's yearly run-off or HOY awards, etc. I may be wrong, but I believe anyone can participate, but if you want the win or placement to count for a federation run-off, you do need to be a member of at least one of said federation's club.
You don't have to be a member of an AKC club to run in an AKC event. (but it's a nice thing to join and support a local club)
