For those coming to the grand nationals make sure that you bring something to take water in out on your casts. It is unseasonably hot in ohio right now. The temps for tomorrow are projected to be near 90 degrees which is definitely not dog running weather. I am sitting this one out due to the heat and my sons football game. so best of luck to all. If your dog isn't run in then you better pay close attention to them in the heat. Just a word to the wise.

No better here in TN in the 90's & dry as a bone. I judged a couple casts yesterday down here & would jump hot rabbits & dogs never ran them over 10 yards. Then it was all hit or miss in small yanks. I have never seen this in October before, Almanac says hotter & drier next year in these parts, boy I can't wait !

i know yesterday at the wurtland akc trial,it was horrible, but the judges deffinately had the dogs best interest in mind, they kept givin water breaks, and gave the dogs time to rest between rounds,my hats off to them, sometimes people foget the dogs get overheated too.
