AKC Forbids Its Judges to Judge UKC, Other Beagle Trials

AKC ADOPTS JUDGING CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
Any AKC-approved judge, who shall judge a purebred dog event in the U.S. not in accordance with the rules of AKC, which apply to such purebred dog events without the express permission of the AKC, may be disciplined even to the extent of having his or her AKC judging approval revoked.
How difficult is that paragraph to understand?
This action isn't limited to competing registry employees at all. If you are an AKC judge and wish to judge a UKC retriever test or beagle trial or show, you need the express permission of the AKC to do it. UKC and PKC coonhound events are exempted - obviously because of AKC's continuing efforts to get those dog owners to switch registries. Let's not be dense about this Steve, Albert, et al or play dog owners for complete fools. AKC's registrations are at a thirty-year low. This is an effort designed to hurt the UKC and other registries in hopes of reviving AKC's financial fortunes and protecting its falling status.
