ARHA Progressive Pack division still at each others throats

Although I dont post there anymore nor do I participate in ARHA trials, I swung by there tonight to see what was new.
It seems funny to me that they barred several folks because they were causing trouble and keeping things stirred up. Barring these people was going to straighten things out but I see its still going on....just different faces.
Complaints about the leadership, complaints about buddy judging, complaints about HOY, complaints about posting HOY points, complaints about the way the office conducts business and yes......complaints about the way Del runs the ARHA. Same sh@# different day....LOL!
I will always wonder how long it will take people to see that Del dont give a rats hind end about them or the ARHA or us beaglers. Lets face it folks, he dont care!!! He told me on the phone one evening about two years ago that he could care less if there was ever another beagle trial again. That it wouldnt affect his bottom line in the least. From that day I could care less if I ever participated a ARHA hunt again.
Many blame Mace for the downhill free fall Progressive Pack has taken and I for one agree that he and some of the other leadership are to blame BUT you also have to consider Del let them get away with it so in my book he is no better.
I think Progressive Pack has a decent set of rules but as far as the registry goes and how its ran, well it has a lot to be desired. Its to bad someone who cares about beagles and beaglers cant buy the ARHA, clean house, get rid of the E board and watchdog committee and start over.
I heard through the grapevine that Del says that there will be no more election of officers and he will appoint whoever he sees fit! Cant wait to see how that goes over! LOL!
I think I will stick with UKC and AKC........

Aaron, I still say the biggest problem is the HOY race. I have been involved with the ARHA since 1989 and every time there has been a major problem in the organization it has revolved around the HOY .
Basicly all the HOY proves is has good dog, the most money and the most time not nessacerally the BEST dog.

And yes I ran to keep a dog in the top ten a couple of years ago, but for me it was about getting to go to clubs and states that I would not normally go to. I had a great time that year, but I did see what some people were capable of. I lost some respect for some people and gained respect for others.

Joe,
I will have to agree with you but lets face it, HOY isnt the only problem.
HOY does help the numbers at the trials but I do not believe it gets the best dog year in and year out. More times than not it is more about who is carrying the leash or what position you hold on the E board than how good the dog is. For about 3 years I got to watch or judge several of the dogs that ran for HOY. There were some good ones but some just make you shake your head and wonder how in the world the dog could possibly be in the top 10 or 15.
And yes I ran to keep a dog in the top ten a couple of years ago, but for me it was about getting to go to clubs and states that I would not normally go to.
If everyone, including the leadership would take your stance and worry less about putting a feather in thier own hat the ARHA would come along way in tring to get thier head back above water.
If they had good people like you in the ownership and leadership positions PP would be hard to beat. Your a top notch guy in my book!

Stoney , Joe p is exactly right you gotta travel , deal with people and clubs that you dont like or crooks . I just want to hang in points not nessasarily hoy just top 10 . That way i will show my cards the last deal.
They have changed the points system at least 3 times since 90 , Mark swartz made em regroup while killing dogs from third place on . Bigtime and biff were at times 2000 points ahead and never left home  . Go figure good dogs and smart fella . When i jumped ship to akc it was because of bs . I fear no dog as of today but i do fear judges . I am seeing final cast of dogs i would not haul home how did they get there ? This past weekend at indiana states lp hunt was like days of old we all judged and we all tried , the right dogs returned and we had a
winners pack that screamed . Start judging the down end of the lead , dont worry about your buddies and do this the right way . It may make for a long ride home , but if your dog should not be there , he wont be by me ;)

Actually at 1 time i was asked to be little pack rep at that time i said no .
This confusing can be fixed there will be some hurt fillings but it is not to far gone yet , Leadership is the key to victory and i dont see it now unfortuanly . Profit is not a dirty word , but it aint all about the $$$. This is a great sport, most friends i have is from this org . Its a cancer but with radiation (hard asses like myself it can be corrected ) This is our sport not del morgans without us beaglers who needs him ? There are answers but they need consistant , dark areas suck ;)

I agree with Mr.Peavler.I always had dreams of running for HOY and finally decided to do it.After putting 3 dogs in the top ten last year I realized there are some good people in this org. and some I could care less about. My experiences are not just hear say but what I saw.I have been told that I took it too serious but when you drive all over the country to run your dogs, run your butt off judging dogs, spend your hard earned money to support a club and gas to get there,I don't know about you guys but I take it serious. This is a good org.with good people in office and thru out the U.S. at different clubs.I will support the org.and my home club to be the best it can be.Whether they should do away with the HOY or not I personally liked doing it because it gave me something to strive for and I think we all strive for something with our dogs.I know that my dad and I met alot of you and others we just haven't yet.All we ask for is to be treated fairly and you will get the same in return.I know after meeting alot of people in the Progressive Pack family they pretty much want the same thing. If we can do this I bet alot of the crap will go away.
