Happy New Year to the Progressive Pack family!! Thanks to Del Morgan, Joyce and all of the folks at the National Kennel Club for all of their hard work on behalf of the PP family in 2005. We are excited and really looking forward to the new Regional format for the 2006 Hound of the Year race. Joyce has posted the guidelines for that new twist on the Executive Board section of this Q&A Board. It is always fun to see the new crop of open hounds that are put into competition each year by folks in the PP family. If the fine hound work I saw at the certifications at the GCABC this past weekend is any indication, the 2006 champ class will be as tough as ever!! And it will be fun to see who will hit the national roads in pursuit of those national hound of the year spots. See ya all on the road! Mace Clark

Mace, it doesn't look like theres going to be as many people in 2006. I have been reading on the other boards that UKC has started up another format just like pp but a few motified rules. I also read were clubs were folding and sending in their charters, and switching to this new format. From the looks of the other board there is a lot of people that are upset with PP and the way it is being ran. They said that, some of the folks in PP that were banned and just plain out quit were a bunch of whiners and would never get another format started, but it looks like they got it done and stuck to their word.
