WV HUNTERS TAKE ACTION

Post by xdawg »

Just got off the phone with WV DNR Law Enforcement

304-558-2784 Out Of Charleston WV (CALL FOR YOURSELF)

If your county didn't vote in and accept the "SUNDAY HUNTING" you are legally not allowed to train your dogs on sundays. Basically you will be ticketed for hunting game with dogs on sundays.

I asked is this not trianing vs hunting? He said pursuing rabbits with a gun or a bow is hunting.

So then i asked, how then can i run my dogs in June without getting ticketed, since june doesn't fall within hunting season? He then went on to explain its then training.

So then i asked what the difference between the 2 is and he couldn't answer me.

Your rights are being stolen.... STOP THEM... COMPLAIN.... CALL TODAY....!!!!!!

I go to church most sunday mornings and evenings.... i respect the lord and love the fact Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. my life will forever be a living sacrifice for that.

So, how can DNR tell me if i own my house/land and i'm running my dogs (that in some areas i pay taxes on land/dogs) that i can't even run them on my own land between church on sundays.

I'M TELLING YOU ALL NOW, THIS IS REAL.... AND ITS WRONG!!!!!!

304-558-2784 Call today and find out for yourself...

How can a man fish on sundays and slay all the fish he wants to but not run his dogs...?

Jack,

I believe if you do not carry a weapon on you in those counties that dont allow Sunday Hunting you will be fine. Just let the hounds run.

Only the counties that allow Sunday hunting you can pursue to kill.

The Sunday hunting has caused a nightmare for the DNR and you need to talk to your local officer. He is the one going to be coming out if there is a complaint. I occassionally get different answers from them. If that is the case I go straight to the LT (I believe) here. I know him pretty well we have had some trouble here locally and I assisted him with some valuable info.

The State DNR has come up with a Rule that says you can not Run your Dogs on Sunday except for those 14 Counties that did not pass the no hunting rule on Sunday and those 14 Counties did not even vote on that rule. But any Club in WV AKC or NKC or UKC can not have a Hunt on Sunday either, the DNR will not issue anymore permits on Sunday. You can call the phone no. above and the DNR will tell you the same thing. The DNR Officer that I talked with said they want this resolved, so contact your Senator and also contact your local DNR Office as well. I have a meeting with the local Newspaper about this issue as well.
THANK YOU PLEASE HELP

The DNR Director contacted me this afternoon and informed me that all Clubs AKC NKC and UKC and any other Club that needed a Field Trial Permit on Sunday will be able to get the permit and have a Field Trial on Sunday. THANKS FOR ALL THE PHONE CALLS OR THE HELP FROM THE WV SPORTING DOG ASSOC., as we got ahold of them and there Lobbist did some talking also. If anyone is interested in joining the WV Sporting Dog Assoc they can by contacting Kenny Rogers in Romney WV at 304-822-3260 it only cost $10.00 to join which I think is a good idea. We are suppose to meet with the Director about Training Dogs on Sunday as far as being allowed to do this, and trying to get it put into a law.
Thanks Chip Eisenhut
