Got to thinking last night about a fair way to measure. When you first bring a dog to hunt the breed inspector looks at it to make sure its a beagle , why not measure him then if there is a doubt at that time it will be resolved , i aint out of money and there is no questions later. Brian is that ok with you ?
As i read the post i cant help but think of a fellow from Louisville that has a male bred the same as Blueman and Reggie it may be a littermate to Reggie. He is one heck of a rabbit dog. The fellow that owns him dont trial him because the dog is a little to tall. I have never seen those dogs run but they would have to have the A game on to beat this dog. Hes a true rabbit machine. The point is some go by the rules...I say measure prior to casting...easy for me to say right..lol
Pet young owns turbo thunder blue - reggies full littermate , another pack from "THE GREAT STATE OF KENTUCKY" where we may bitch but we sure do win alot. I guess if you cant beat us you can always by our breedings
now let me get this straight.....The breeding of the dog is what makes it right?????Huh I have been going at this all wrong, It not the time in the field I'm just wasting my time... all I need to do is buy a dog from "The great state of Kentucky" leave it set in the kennel and just bring it to hunts and it will win itself. Thanks man for clearing all that up.
Jimmie I don't even know you, but I had some respect for you for all that you have done in the sport without even meeting you. Your dog had to have some heart to even finish 6th on a broken foot. But man all this "Great state of Kentucky" stuff and taking credit for a dog and his owners acomplishments just cause he was "BREED" in Kentucky thats too much

Jimmie,
What happens when someone registers a pup or even those that litter register???? Im a firm believer that rules are rules and they should be followed. Personally I think the 15" rule is not enforced nearly like it should be. No matter what state you live in or what registry you run in there are always people trying to push the limits no matter what. I dont have a problem with people pushing the limits as long as they are prepared for the consequences and can take it like a man.
AKC measures the winners packs, UKC measures them all before the hunt and ARHA will measure them at any time. Im fine with them all as long as they are measured correctly. I think the bottom line is to go to a trial and have fun!
Hey Jimmy, I guess I will have to pack up and move to Ky just to get in the click, Maybe I will win a cast Just kidding. I'll back next year and try it all over again ( same thing I say every year ).
Craig
HEY
I HAVE BEEN READING ALL THIS AND IT'S ALL INTERESTING. RULES ARE RULES ,WE SHOULD GO BY THEM...EVERY ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO RUN WHAT THEY LIKE .HERES IS A PROBLEM. WITH THE, GOOD FEED, AND STROUNG DOGS TODAY, THE DOGS ARE GOING TO GET BIGGER,I' AM GOING TO BREED THE STROUNGEST BEST TO THE SAME.I DON'T BREED'' RUNTS'' OR CULLS.AND MOST EVERYONE DOES THE SAME. SO I THINK THIS WILL BE A PROBLEM DOWN THE ROAD. THIS SAID I THINK WE WILL SEE SOME CHANGES IN THE FUTURE.EVERY ONE HAS NOTICED THEIR'S A LOT OF BIG HOUNDS AROUND TODAY.
PINE MT BEAGLES
If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered
Craig man you can run with us anytime you are welcome , Rufus i totally agree with you dogs keep growing , for that i have no answer .
Brian joiner when you decide to run something other than your mouth , i may listen to you , but make no mistake I DO NOT LIKE YOU , so why dont you take them grade dogs to you little jr beagle board & let us fight amongst our selves, if we need a moderator we got stoney . have a great day loser
