Re: trials lets try this again
toldyouso I'm still perplexed by your comments? One minute you say "Mark Brown says you and your wife picked the wrong dog at Jackson" and now saying you'll are sitting around and talking about look at judges and who place these day. It doesn't add up. And now you are adding other mid west judges into the mix. I would bet any amount of money that all the people you mentioned would not agree Skirting is a style...........................I just don't understand? I would like to hear from Earl Rice, Tony Eyers, Mark Brown, Brian Garmatter, and others mentioned sitting around discussing mid west. Also would be intersted to what Mr. Dugan would have to say. I'm sure any of these people, especially Mr. Dugan would love to run hounds with you. My confusion grows with your conflicting points and stories!?
Re: trials lets try this again
toldyouso, you are obviously not up to date on much in the MidWest. Shawn Fetty and Brandon Hill haven't ran a dog in the Mid-West in at least two years. And Denny Dugan is in as good as shape as any judge there is. He works out daily. You need to think before you speak. What always confuses me is why I see individuals run down our type of hounds but I never see anyone run down your style of hound. To each thier own. Run what you love and love what you run!
Re: trials lets try this again
iam not running down anyones hounds and if you take it that way maybe you feel guilty about something. all them guys i mentioned i have know for years. i have not run in the midwest for 7 years and the reason why is i do run a different hound and was given some good advice by ron wagner. he said go and run little pack and your style of dog will do well and he was right. like i said i do not have a problem with what you run but lets be real denny dugan is how old. Do you really know this man. and when i speak of shawn fetty and brandin hill you think i lie about these comments. believe me i cannot make this stuff up. maybe its changed i do not know i just know what i know. and i never said skirting was not a bad thing every dog does it from every line out there . know this. but ridgeway i would love to run dogs with you when. call me my number is on here. dec what and where. just a freindly day in the woods.

Re: trials lets try this again
toldyouso, you just keep digging bigger and bigger holes. First off you did run down hounds when you started bad mouthing Greg Wells for putting up the style of hounds that run under AKC. Then you get on here and state that skirting is a style and not a demerit and if a hound skirts it is "more intelligent" than our dumb format hounds. Then you get on here and bad mouth several of the judges and state that they cheat for each other. Then you just got on here and asked jdmart if he felt guilty of something? What is this all about!!!!!! Then you jump on denny dugan about being to old to judge!!!!!!! Man you got a serious problem.toldyouso wrote:iam not running down anyones hounds and if you take it that way maybe you feel guilty about something. all them guys i mentioned i have know for years. i have not run in the midwest for 7 years and the reason why is i do run a different hound and was given some good advice by ron wagner. he said go and run little pack and your style of dog will do well and he was right. like i said i do not have a problem with what you run but lets be real denny dugan is how old. I will tell you that denny dugan has judged my hounds and did a great job on keeping up and he is an honest man. Jdmart has also judged my hounds and I believe that he is an honest man. I have placed in several AKC trials without being a judge and everything you are saying is a load of CRAP!!!!!!! If you dont like AKC or the people in it stay the hell out, we are better off in this foramt without people like you saying the running style is dumb, judges are cheaters or to old and so on. You dont know the rules or you did not follow them and was told by Mark Brown that you made a big mistake and that you would never judge again and by your posts I will have to agree with him. If you are interested in seeing what type of hounds that we are running, come on down to the trial starting on friday that is being held by mr. jdmart.
For all the rest of the individuals on this forum that are interested in seeing the truth about the AKC Mid-West trials, I would like for you to attend a trial for yourself and see how much fun that it really is. Don't let one mans trash talk keep you from running in what I think is the best format out there.

I know then all well. Great guys!
Re: trials lets try this again
Frank,
At least we have different registries for the different ways the dogs run and different scoring systems. This also helps to have more trials to attend.
As for judges, I have judged with several in the midwest. Most of them do a very good job. When Shawn Fetty was judging and running, he was running a couple of very good females, his Bonnie dog was one of the best I have ever seen. You talk about Denny Dugan as a judge, he got his license so he would know more about the akc trials and then clubs have asked him to judge, he could say "no I am to old, let some young guy do it". But instead he has judged when asked. I have judged with him several times and can tell you he does a very good job and can keep up very well. We judged a spo class of 42 13" females on hare in Wisconsin starting at 7:30 am and finishing at 7:30 pm. You will get a workout on a day like that.

Re: trials lets try this again
Well Denny has judged me a time or two,I personally have no problems with his ol ass. He runs pretty well for a senior citizen.

Hi all! Long time no see! Boy I have missed all of this. NOT!
Frank:
I am perplexed as well with your comments. Wait... no I'm not. I hate to call you a liar....but sometimes you have to call it as you see it. Nothing that you quoted ever came out of my mouth. I have heard this same statement pinned on other judges in the past. Its one of those myths that people like you like to revive over and over again. Just add a different name to it and it is as good as new. Regardless of what you think of me, I have a problem with you implying that Bonny, Chic or Casey never deserved the titles they earned. According to you, it was all given to them because I was judging. Not that I know is an opinion, but the claim to hear Brandon and I say that we are going to start judging so we can finish dogs is just a lie. I think we need to clear the air a bit. Not to educate others reading this post because most of them have already agreed that your full of it.
You saw me judge my first trial at NCOBC in 2001 and were then also present or an entry at many other trials I judged. I learned a lot while judging hounds. A lot about judging, dogs and the type of people that you have to judge every weekend. As I looked at dogs more critically, I was more realistic on the quality of dogs that I had and almost completely restructured my kennel. I quite listening to others about which bloodline was best and went out to do my own thing.I spent a lot of time soloing dogs and researching bloodlines. I sold all my males (one of which was just a different style of dog and later won the World Hunt) and started over with some 15 inch females. You and I saw each other fairly regularly after I was judging and competing more frequently. On one occasion you were an "issue" at our trial. You had a problem with Tonys judging and when I came out to the field to make sure you left, you told me how much you respected my judging and how I wouldnt let stuff like this go on. Well you were half drunk then so I didnt pay much attention to it. Later Wags and let Missy marshal for us at Jackson because you asked for here to so she could learn. Geez I thought my judging was in good standing with you (as if it ever mattered).
About the dogs. I can distinctly remember you coming to me after the 2004 Southern West Virginia's Sept Trial to congratulate me before the results were ever called. You told me you witnessed the dogs cross 4 times and that a lot of them were not even barking because they exhausted and hot. You stated the same dog was leading and the same dog was second every time. That was Bonny's 3rd win and Chic placed 2nd for one of her first trials. In a later phone conversation, you complimented me again on "Those 2 Super Dog Bitches". Once again, I would have thought that you would understand why these dogs are now Field Champions.
I guess you will never learn. So I am probably wasting this text. People like Denny and I change. Change dogs, change our physical health and try to lead a better life. People like you sit around and scratch their head and complain about how nobody likes "Their style of dog" and how they get cheated. Nobody wants to come to your "Big Running Grounds" to play by your rules. They will never win and I am quite certain that they wont have a good time! Go to a Field trial and let an impartial person judge the dogs. Better yet, if you have it so figured out and have been in this sport so long....I challenge you to go out and make 1 Field Champion. A guy with your experience should have no problem. Do whatever it takes. Buy a good prospect, judge some trials (if you think thats what it takes). Do whatever you feel necessary. Just show us all that you can spot talent and that you can train a dog that finished. Please show us that your not the idiot that you look to be!
Good luck to everyone and I hope you dont let posts like this discourage you from your hobby.

Re: trials lets try this again
Frank are you still barred from UKC or did that go away for ya? So any comment on there scoring is of great merit considering your barred. Know a format you haven't ran in 7 years has crooked judges. Maybe the answer to your problem isn't with AKC or UKC maybe it's by simply looking in a mirror and you don't seem real sharp so I'm going to help ya .. YOU!! So instead of getting on here bashing Denny and Shawn and whoever else why don't you start working on gaining some class because you obviously have none

Re: trials lets try this again
Please let me explain something to you! I started to delete all of the BS you have been spewing and all of your personal attacks on folks but I decided it would be better just to lock it so folks can see what kind of a person you are. You stated that you are a AKC MidWest judge and I wondered why I havent seen your name as a judge at any trials......After reading your posts I can understand why!toldyouso wrote:i have been trialing and running dogs way before you got involved in trialing and let me explain something to you.
I would like to apologize to the person who started this topic for locking it because it started out very well......That is till Frank joined in.
Feel free to start a new topic and maybe Frank can refrain from repeating his conduct. If his recent conduct continues he will be looking for a new place to play!
