Only one thing left to do, finish him in the 15" class. As far as stripping the judges, that would not solve anything. They don't get paid to do this. What little money they do get for judging probably doesn't pay for gas. There is no benefit to those judges that measured that dog. I personally know most of them and they are honest people. It is a shame for the dog that barely measured over. You could measure him an hour later at 13". This is just going to cause people with borderline dogs to not get them official measured, but make sure they won't stand when they are measured. This will probably help in the long run, if they keep showing up at trials and doing this. Just seems kind of funny that it happened when it did and to who it did.

I was at the 13 inch male class at Jessimine Co. Beagle Club today and I watched the measure on every dog and what the AKC reps did was great. They told everybody that they were going to measure every "official" dog in the 13 inch class. They told everybody that if they did not want their dogs measured to pack their dog and leave. This demostration was the first of many to come and I would advise anyone that is running in the wrong class to stop now before you get put under the stand. One more thing the reps did not place any dog on its toes to knock them out, they measured the correct way and the big 14 inch and above hounds that have been placing in the 13 inch class are now gone.
I ran in this class today and I did not make the winners pack, and the way that my dog ran today he did not need to be there. The judges was fair and honest and when they measured for the winners pack two more dogs went over, I think they measured around 13 1/2. I will have to say that compaired to all the pictures from other trials you will see a major difference whe you see these. All the dogs look the same and all the dogs are 13 and below just like the rule book says.

2. Did you know in your heart that you've been campaigning an over-sized dog in the 13" class?

Danny, I dont know who won I left when they took the last cast out. Now I am not going to get in a pissing contest with you but the only people that got the shaft was the true 13 inch and under dogs in the past field trials that did not place or win due to oversized dogs running in the wrong class. What the reps from AKC done today is long overdue.
Like I said before the reps, the club and the judges did a great job at the trials today everything was on the up and up and I am sure that the best dog won.

I understood you to say that he was not the biggest nor was he the smallest, just wondering what AKC put on him for a measurement and do you think that it was a generous measurement or not. i have been measured out at 15 1/8 and about came unglued but that is what the man said. i packed up and went home.

i would never believe they are targeting you vansickle the akc. they arent going to travel that far to look at 1 dog and to put it in the 15 inch class.

I have to disagree with this. The owners DO allow oversized dogs to run. To think otherwise would be naive. Judges indeed have a responsibility to measure a dog into the proper class, and owners have a responsibility to their fellow beaglers to beat them or lose to them fairly. To not put any onus on the dog owner in this is like calling the thief innocent because the door wasn't locked.

So you knew 2 years ago Bandit belonged in the 15" class? There is no borderline, IMO. If they are 13-1/8, they are over. You can't be mad at the judges or other beaglers who don't want him in the 13" class. They're in the right.
