Pro Beagle Hunts

Post by Redtick »

From what I understand, PKC has a program for coondogs called The Pro Circuit. I believe there is a $1000 entry fee limited to 16 dogs and the winner recieves the biggest share of the entry fees. While I have some coon dogs that have won most of the casts they have been on, it is certainly more money than I would want to risk on a competition coon hunt. But, there seems to be a lot of interest in it in the coondog world.
I have noticed there is a fellow or 2 that may want to risk a $1000 on a competition rabbit hunt. Even though I have some beagles that have won a good number of casts, that fee is a little too risky for me. Sometimes you can have good dogs and just have bad luck on that day. But, if some of you guys want to compete with your beagles with a $1000 entry fee, PKC already has a proven format that seems to work. From what I have read, PKC's coondog Pro Circuit sold out all of it's possible hunt entries the first day it was possible to enter a dog. And, they had a good number of hunts. Like I said, it is a little too steep for my blood, but if you guys want to compete, it can be arranged.
