Sunday November 23,2014 was our annual Thanksgiving hunt. We give away collars,lead straps,couplers and other items to participants who have supported us through the year. I was unable to judge this hunt but several people from neighboring clubs came out and made our hunt a success.
I would like to thank Dave Meyers,Tim Kelly,Rick Hartman,Gary Eye,Brock Markwell,Raymond Tissue,Seth Mershat,Craig Miller,Larry McCulley and Roger Hanning for judging. I had to turn down offers to help judge a three dog Champion cast from several judges that live more than two hours away.
I would also like to thank club members Melinda Hankinson,Fred Mangus,Elliot Ansell Ed Shaw,Dave Meyers,Corey Deist,Tom Kelly,Tim Kelly,Keith Cooper and Dennis Wetzel for all of their help.
We had 20 open dogs and 13 champion dogs for a nice size hunt for us. Congratulations to Jim Campbell for winning the opens and Craig Miller for winning the champs.
I read some negative posts from time to time but these people along with friends Dean Riggleman and Ron Eye are why I compete in ARHA. This was my Thanksgiving spending an enjoyable day with the fine people from Maryland,West Virginia and Pennsylvania. I would also like to thank Shaun Michael for giving us a great deal on prizes. Thank You all once again.
