akc trial question
I went to a trial in mississippi an got told my dog was running to much rabbit. can you tell me what this is ???

Some judges in the AKC Mid-West trials use this phrase for when hounds are getting too rough. THe hound may have lots of score but in doing more wrong than right!! Don't exactly agree with the phrase because a hound can't run too much rabbit as long as they are doing it right. However, if a hound is blowing over end of line, swinging out of check, skirting, etc. and causing more checks than a pack of good hounds can fix then that hound should be order up no matter how much rabbit they run!!!!!! Not sure about other types of AKC trials, such as Brace or UBGF.
